What are the Best Marketing Tools?

What are the Best Marketing Tools?

Marketing is where business data and human behavior meet, turning prospects into leads, then into customers in their journey through the marketing tools. What are the Best Marketing Tools?

Here is how I divide things up in marketing:

  • Programmers deal with data and algorithms;
  • Marketers deal with funnels and conversions, with funnels as the nouns and conversions as the verbs;
  • Sales deal with, well, sales.

I like this definition because in many businesses, programmers, marketers and sales people don’t really respect each other because they see a lot of overlap, without respecting where each is strong.

Good Marketers

Good marketers have a very big toolkit, and they know that in marketing to humans they have to deal with:

  • Creating awareness;
  • Creating interest;
  • Human decision-making which leads up to the sale.

Almost all human purchasing decisions are guided by emotions, not data.

This means that marketers have to be equally comfortable with quantitative and qualitative data, and have to craft campaigns which work for the client or advertiser.

Email Marketing Tools that you can use and it can help you.

So here it goes. Email marketing is a digital channel in marketing. Lots of older more traditional brick and mortar companies often ignore these channels for one of several reasons. Sometimes the owners are so old school that they don’t understand how email marketing can benefit them. We have seen this in many small businesses operating outside of cities and in the many third world countries. Sometimes they know the benefits of digital marketing channels but don’t know where to start.

But of all the digital marketing channels, email marketing should be the easiest of all to demonstrate the effectiveness of digital marketing as it can benefit businesses of all sizes. How to Earn Money through Dropshipping?

From the moment a person first encounters your business… you can capture their emails, to converting them into paying customers, and finally keeping existing customers interested and happy… often by send them needed updates, engaging content, rewards and promotions.

This means it is a must have tool as a part of your lead generation and customer retention strategies.

Social Media Marketing Tools that you can use and it can help you.

A social media marketing strategy is the summary of everything you plan to do and hope to achieve for your business using social networks. This plan should comprise an audit of where your accounts are today, goals for where you want them to be in the near future, and all the tools you want to use to get there.

In general, the more specific you can get with your plan, the more effective you’ll be in its implementation. Try to keep it concise. Don’t make your social media marketing strategy so lofty and broad that it’s unattainable. The plan will guide your actions, but it will also be a measure by which you determine whether you’re succeeding or failing. You don’t want to set yourself up for failure from the outset.

Awesome marketing pre-motivates your prospects to know, like and trust you.

Those are best customers. The hardest are those you cold call (without marketing).

Many group marketing into sales, but it’s not. Many group marketing into advertising, but it’s not.

Marketing has 1 goal: Get a prospect interested enough to raise their hand and say “I’m interested, tell me more.” It gets them into the door. After that, it becomes sales job to close the deal down.

Advertising is just a piece of marketing. The promotional piece usually talking about your product. Marketing is the big puzzle a company must piece together to strategically figure out:

  1. Who is my ideal client
  2. Where do they hang out
  3. What problems do they solve
  4. What problems do they NOT know they have
  5. Educate them on how to solve their Problems/Pains

When you market correctly, prospects come into the door and are willing to open their wallets with greater ease.

Marketing is complex. It is not just sex and slogans. It’s about putting the right product, at the right price, at the right time, in the right place. Those are the essentials, and referred to as the 4Ps of marketing (product, price, place, and promotion).

Modern Marketing

Modern marketing can take many forms: content, inbound, outbound, sandwich board on the street (is that still a thing?).

“Marketing is the management process responsible for identifying, anticipating and satisfying customer requirements profitably.”

Marketing is multi-faceted, with its many elements working in harmony to deliver the goods.

The many arms of marketing include:

  • Public relations
  • Brand management
  • Market research
  • Marketing communications, which can be further divided into digital marketing, social media marketing, direct (mail) marketing, and traditional channels like print, radio, and billboards.
  • Sales
  • Customer service

Marketing can be B2C (business to consumer) or B2B (business to business). It can be pushy or pully (to coin a new phrase).

Much like a cryptozoologist looking for Bigfoot, it can be hard to find the right tactics and formula to get what you’re after. That’s when the amateur gives up. But that’s not you, is it?

What Marketing Isn’t

Marketing is not sales. Yes, it leads to sales by getting the word out there through branding and advertising, via both the written word and images, and then luring prospective customers in, but a marketer is not the one to actually interact with the sales lead—that’s the job of the sales person in the sales department.

Marketing is also not creative nor does it belong in the content department. Again, marketers work closely with these departments by sharing the analytics and insights they’ve gained from the information and research they’ve produced, but a marketer is not the one to actually produce or design the content.

Marketing is not easy. Many companies—and especially small businesses—make the error of doing all their own marketing without any know-how. That could work, providing you have someone who knows what they’re doing—like your very own Don Draper. But most brands just starting out don’t have that luxury, so they must go it alone. You can do it – if you have a map highlighting all the booby traps.

This question is broad and I think that reflects the many unique specialties within marketing. But one thing is certain: all marketing teams need a strategic plan.

So, is there anything wrong with the tools mentioned in some of these answers? No, not at all. But there is one very important piece missing: planning.

I believe marketers need more than just a generic tool to help manage programs and campaigns. The work you do is more than just the bits and pieces. Marketing teams need — and deserve — their own dedicated space to plan strategy and link it to the actual day-to-day activities that are being delivered. In my experience, this is the only way to truly launch breakthrough marketing campaigns.

But this is not easy work. And it is made even harder when you are beaten down by poor planning (or no planning at all), requests hitting you from every direction, and 17 different tools to manage the chaos.

I believe the best marketing tool today is a purpose-built planning software that gives marketing teams a dedicated space to create strategic objectives, prioritize work, and be happy doing it.

So I spent a lot of time asking people what they thought what marketing does and what marketing is.. And I got all the similar reactions. These memories came to light as they gave me the cliched answers of Marketing being all about “Sales,” or “Advertising,” or “Promotions,” or being after your lives to go use a product.

Well, sorry to break the bubble, But what marketing really is, isn’t what you think of it to be.

Marketing is huge domain! Far above selling, promoting, advertising, or taking feedback calls!

In my belief what Marketing really is, “Is everything which helps to get a smile on a customers face because of your product/service”

Anticipating what the customer might want is making the product which shall satisfy their needs and wants. Innovation and selecting how to reach out to these people.

Giving them the product, taking feedback, after sales service, thus everything which helps you maintain profitable customer relationships.

As the traditional definition by Philip Kotler says,

“Marketing is the science and art of exploring, creating, and delivering value to satisfy the needs of a target market at a profit. Marketing identifies unfulfilled needs and desires.”

In my opinion, marketing is one of the most important functions amy organisation can have. If an organisation is a car, Then Marketing is the engine and finance is the fuel.

That, Is what marketing is all about and that is how important it is.
As peter F.Drucker the management guru famously said, “A business enterprise has only two basic functions – marketing and innovation.”
